Our ABC (Agility Balance Coordination) Football sessions have been going down a storm with reception year children at Brighton & Hove Primary Schools and Community Centres.

The children – and the community leaders and teachers! – love the exciting, innovative sessions, which include a variety of fun elements including an obstacle course made up of ladders, hurdles, and cones, as well as goals and balls of course, and the star of the show, the blaze pods (pictured below)

The pods light up in different colours as our coaches add instructions to the reflex and reaction tasks, and the children love the interactivity of this part of the session. These pods are all part of a coordinated coaching session that aims, above all, to be fun and engaging, and also has the goal of enhancing the ABCs of early years children. In dynamic movement, agility training helps your body practice proper balance while moving, which is really good for the physical development of young people.

We’ve run the sessions at Crew Club in Whitehawk, Mouslecoomb and Coldean Primary Schools, and we’re looking to run more across the city. Some of these projects have been funded by Sussex Community Foundation and others through the schools themselves. The session lasts for 1 hour, and we have also run multiple sessions one after the other when the schools have asked due to high demand! We are flexible and can adapt to your needs. All of our coaches have enhanced DBS checks.
