VYD are proud to announce our sponsorship of the Montpelier Villa Galaxy (MVG) Junior Premier League girls’ teams for the 2025-26 season. As a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people and players from marginalised areas of east Brighton, this partnership represents an important step in our mission.
Why this matters
Young female footballers across Sussex deserve the same chance to thrive, regardless of their background. Yet often, girls from under-served communities in east Brighton face higher barriers: fees, equipment, travel, lesser networks. At VYD, we believe that football can be a powerful tool for transformation: building confidence, physical and mental health, social belonging and aspiration. By backing MVG’s junior girls’ players, we’re helping open the door for those who may not have had it yet.

What we’re doing
Our sponsorship is structured to make an immediate difference:
– We’ll help subsidise fees for girls from families who may struggle to afford playing at this level ensuring cost isn’t the barrier to opportunity.
– We’ll scour east Brighton for emerging talent: reaching out into neighbourhoods and schools, connecting with young girls who may not yet have considered club football, and feeding that ambition into the MVG pathway.
– We’ll ensure that the girls we support have access to the same quality environment, coaching and development opportunities as those from more privileged backgrounds.

The pathway
With MVG entering competitive U12, U13, U14 and U16 girls’ teams in the Junior Premier League and offering a clear progression into senior women’s football, we see a real opportunity for lasting change. The journey isn’t only about sport it’s about creating futures, building resilience and opening doors.

A call to our community
We invite supporters, parents, schools and local organisations in east Brighton to join us. If you know a young girl with passion, potential and drive even if she’s never played club football before, to get in touch with VYD. We’re all about ensuring that football in Brighton is fair, inclusive and accessible for all.
If you’d like to find out more or help us support more girls, we’d love to hear from you.
